Ponderosa

September 19, 2015

Fall is here! Well it's been here for a couple of weeks already!

Ialways associate this season with many cosy things to wear, fun activities to do and delicious comforting food. It's my favourite time of the year for all of the reasons mentionned above.
I started wearing knitwear religiously, and my knitting time is even more enjoyable than usual. I've been so inspired lately to create new designs, and Ponderosa is the first one to come.

“As soon as the Summer ends, the mushrooming season starts.
On the weekends, I usually wake up early in the morning, get ready, put my boots on, grab my foraging basket, my Ponderosa hat, head out to the train station, and wait for the train that will take me to my favourite part of the woods.

This specific forest is called Kalngales, and its is magical.
Its floor is always covered by a carpet of evergreen moss, and pine trees are scattered all around.

One weekend, after walking for a couple of hours, gathering mushrooms and heather on my way, I decided to stop for a little break. I cooked the mushrooms in the middle of the woods, had some tea and layed down on my back for a while, looking at the tall trees that were around me.”
