It's this time of the year again: The Shetland Wool Week.
Shetland: is a subarctic archipelago of Scotland that lies north-east of the island of Great Britain and forms part of the United Kingdom ∞ A place that I have not yet discovered, but that I dream of visiting one day.
Wool: The dense, soft, often curly hair forming the coat of sheep and certain other mammals, such as the goat and alpaca. ∞ One of my favourite thing in the world.
Week: a period of seven successive days ∞ I wouldn’t mind staying for more than seven successive days.
Yes, it's this time of the year again. If you remember, last year we had our very first SWW knit along and we had such a blast, that I thought it could be so much fun to renew the experience, play with new yarn, practice a bit of fair isle, meet new friends, and virtually discover Shetland through the sheepy pattern created by the amazing Donna Smith. Whether you're fairly new to stranded colorwork or not, come and join in the ravelry group and and participate!

Two colours of yarn are used through the main part of the hat making it a very firm cosy garment to keep out the wind.
